A rove along Redwood National Park's Trillium Falls Trail left me acutely aware of how much I will miss this place if, as I expect, I have to leave soon. I couldn't have asked for a finer final (?) rangerly walk on this trail. Please enjoy ...
What Trillium Falls lacks in height, it makes up in force, running year round and gushing in early spring.
Scarlet waxy caps fruit beneath the redwoods after cold snaps.
My best redwood shot of the day, but certainly not my best ever ... does anybody else have good ones to share?
You can't rightly call it Trillium Falls without a trillium in the vicinity - these blooms signal the start of spring in redwood country.
